The Ireland Immigrant Investor Program (IIP) is designed to encourage investors and business professionals from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to invest in Ireland. To be eligible for Ireland IIP, the applicant is required to make an investment in one of the Government approved Investment Funds.
Applicants must be high net worth individuals with a personal wealth of at least €2 million of which, a minimum of EUR1 million should be invested in an approved investment fund for a period of at least 3 years. Such funds must be approved and regulated by the Central Bank.
In addition, the main applicant must pay the non-refundable application fee of EUR 1,500. The fee covers the principal applicant and all nominated family members.
